Velenosi “Rosa” Marche IGT Rosato 2023 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Velenosi From the estate vineyards of cantina Velenosi in Castel di Lama comes this Marche IGT Rosato, a wine that surprises with its freshness, elegance and minerality. The vineyards are located at an average altitude of 200-300 metres above sea level. The soil, of medium consistency tending to clay, offers an ideal environment for the cultivation of red grapes indigenous to the Marche region. In this case, Velenosi’s Rosé comes from a blend of indigenous Marche grapes, carefully selected for their freshness and aromaticity. The grapes are harvested in the first ten days of September and, once in the cellar, are destemmed and conveyed to the press. The environment is inerted with carbonic snow to prevent oxidation and preserve the primary aromas. This is followed by a short cryomaceration of about 6 hours to extract the right colour and aromas from the skins. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, starting only with first-pressing must. At the end of fermentation, the wine is matured for a few months on fine lees to increase its structure and complexity. Brilliant quartz pink in colour, on the nose an intense floral bouquet of rose and violet, enriched by notes of small red fruits such as strawberry and raspberry. The marked freshness and intense minerality complete the aromatic profile, making it an elegant and refined wine. Ideal as an aperitif or hors d’oeuvre, it tastefully accompanies pasta dishes with vegetables or fish, white meats or fresh cheeses. A perfect wine to enhance the flavours of Mediterranean cuisine and to accompany convivial moments with friends and family.
