Triacca Tenuta Santa Venere “Poderuccio” Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG 2017 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Triacca Tenuta Santa Venere Vino Nobile di Montepulciano DOCG, Poderuccio is one of the good wines produced by the Triacca winery on its Tuscan estate of Santavenere. 85% Sangiovese, 15% Merlot, the grapes come from the area called Poderuccio, in the heart of the estate. Here there is a special microclimate, perfect exposure and unique soil. From this happy mix of ingredients, this excellent wine is born. Vinified with modern technology, but in full respect of tradition, it is aged for 18 months in small, partly new wooden barrels. It is then further stored for about six months in steel tanks and, after bottling, for a further six months in glass. Intense ruby red in colour, it presents itself on the nose with an important olfactory impact and complex sensations: tobacco, cherry jam, liquorice, balsamic and toasted notes in clear evidence. In the mouth it is soft and warm, with elegant tannins. The finish is persistent, complex and warm. Perfect with main courses of red meat, grilled meats and game. Also excellent with tasty cheeses such as Pecorino.
