Trerè “Lôna Bôna” Sangiovese Ravenna IGT 2023 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Trerè Azienda Agricola Trerè’s Romagna Sangiovese DOC Lôna Bôna is a fine wine from the territory, sincere and genuine. The vineyards of Azienda Agricola Trerè are located at an altitude between 100 and 120 metres above sea level, with an east-south-east exposure, ideal for ensuring excellent sunshine and perfect ripening of the grapes. The soils in this area are loamy-clayey, particularly fertile and capable of giving the wine a beautiful, complex structure. Lôna Bôna, from the Romagnolo dialect, Luna Buona, is produced exclusively from Sangiovese grapes, the most representative variety of the region. The vines, planted between 1999 and 2005, benefit from a mild climate and careful, sustainable agronomic management that enhances the naturalness of the fruit. Harvested in September, when the grapes reach perfect ripeness, the bunches are picked by hand to preserve the integrity of the fruit. After the harvest, the grapes are brought to the cellar and carefully vinified. The wine is matured in stainless steel tanks for 2 months to maintain the freshness and purity of the aromas. It then rests in the bottle for a further 2 months, before being finally put on the market. To the eye, the Lôna Bôna is an intense ruby red colour. On the nose, it offers an interesting call of floral aromas, with dominant notes of violets and roses. In the mouth, however, it is delicate and harmonious, with smooth tannins and a gentle finish. Lôna Bôna is a versatile wine, suitable for multiple pairings. It goes well with traditional Romagnola cured meats, such as coppa and prosciutto crudo.
