Tondini “Amjonis” Rosso Isola Dei Nuraghi IGT 2022 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Tondini Isola dei Nuraghi IGT Amjonis a young, ready-to-drink red. A wine strongly linked to its terroir proposed here by Tenute Tondini. A wine that conquers with its decisive character and immediate drinkability. Amjonis is a blend of 90% Carignano, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in equal parts. The vineyards are located at about 350 metres above sea level, in an area characterised by a warm, dry climate, mitigated by sea breezes. Vinification takes place in steel, with a fermentation maceration of about 15 days that allows the grapes to extract intense colour and complex aromas. In the glass it has a beautiful intense ruby red colour with garnet hues. On the nose, the bouquet is broad and enveloping, with hints of ripe red berries, such as ciliega and blackberry, and spicy notes of black pepper and liquorice. In the mouth, however, Amjonis conquers with its fine body, full and concentrated. The sip is accompanied by a pleasant sensation of warmth and softness. The well-developed tannins integrate perfectly with all the other components of the wine, resulting in a harmonious balance and a lingering, pleasantly fruity finish. It goes well with red meats, game and mature cheeses. Perfect, in particular, to accompany typical Sardinian dishes such as roast suckling pig and pecorino cheese.
