Sparapani Frati Bianchi “Salerna” Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico 2022 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Sparapani Frati Bianchi Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico e Superiore. This is Salerna, proposed here by the fine Sparapani family estate. A reality in the Marche region of Cupramontana, in the province of Ancona. The Verdicchio grapes are selected on the vine and harvested manually. Once in the cellar, the grapes are subjected to a soft pressing. The must obtained undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in steel tanks. At the end of this phase, there follows an ageing period of 6 months, again in steel tanks, and, after bottling, a further 2 months in the bottle. A ready-to-drink wine, young and fresh, Salerna presents itself in the glass with a beautiful straw-yellow colour with greenish reflections. On the nose, it is easy to recognise floral and fruity notes, with a predominance of acacia flowers and white-fleshed fruit. On the finish, however, mineral hints. In the mouth, it is striking for its savouriness, accompanied by a good softness. A well-balanced white with excellent drinkability, it accompanies light meat and fish dishes at the table.
