Pleasantly, let’s be clear. Apulia IGT produced from pure Nero di Troia, this rosé has notes of such finesse and elegance that it seems like perfume. You almost want to put two drops behind your ears. And to say that Nero di Troia is not an easy variety to cultivate, and that in Apulia it is often preferred to Primitivo, which generally causes fewer problems. But if it is cultivated properly, i.e. with very low yields and allowing it time to ripen perfectly, this variety can really impress. Bright raspberry in colour, this Gelso Rosa has a rich and inviting bouquet, with notes of fresh fruit, especially cherry, black cherry and violets. In the mouth, then, it is characterised by great elegance, with a taste that recalls the sweet notes perceived earlier and a persistent floral finish of great freshness.
