Piccini 1882 Chianti DOCG 2023 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Piccini 1882 The history of the Piccini family is closely linked to that of Chianti. What today is a large company was just a small vineyard in the heart of the appellation at the end of the 19th century. That is why it is always a pleasure to taste a Chianti DOCG, like this one, the result of a historic family’s experience.. Specifically, it is a blend of clearly predominate Sangiovese, with a part of Ciliegiolo and Canaiolo, both at 5%. Only the best bunches are selected and sent for the vinification process, which involves the use of temperature-controlled stainless steel containers. This is followed by a long maceration on the skins, to extract all the colour and aromas, during which frequent pumping over is carried out, to obtain a more delicate and elegant taste. In the glass, Chianti Piccini, characterized by its unmistakable label, has a beautiful intense ruby red colour, with intense and persistent aromas of ripe red fruit. In the mouth it reveals itself as a well-structured and smooth wine. With soft tannins and distinct hints of red fruit.
