Piazzo Comm. Armando “Cicheta” Moscato d’Asti DOCG 2023 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Piazzo Comm. Armando If the whole world is crazy about our Moscato d’Asti, there must be a reason. After all, there is nothing more pleasant than a sip of this delicate, aromatic white wine. The wine proposed by Piazzo Comm. Armando comes from the hills of Mango. Vineyards with excellent mid-hill exposure. From the vinification of these grapes comes a delicate wine, with aromatic tones, but with fragrant characters. The harvest begins in the first ten days of September. After harvesting, the grapes are brought to the cellar early to be pressed and undergo fermentation at a low temperature in steel tanks until an alcohol content of just over 5 degrees is obtained. At that point fermentation is stopped by lowering the temperature and the wine is left to rest in the tank for about 2 months. The result is a nectar with a residual sugar content of about 110/120 grams per litre and a straw-yellow colour with golden hues, brought to life by a subtle vivacity that intensifies its fragrance. The nose is delicately fruity, with aromatic notes typical for the variety, including yellow peach, rose, honey, lime blossom and even sage. The palate is sweet, fresh and appealing. Well balanced by a natural acidity that invites you to continue tasting. Accompanies desserts, especially cakes and small pastries.
