Pecchenino Langhe Nebbiolo “Bricco Ravera” DOC 2020 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Pecchenino Pecchenino offers this interesting Langhe Nebbiolo Bricco Ravera DOC, a Piedmontese red of fine personality and great character. It comes, of course, from the careful processing of 100% Nebbiolo grapes, harvested in the estate vineyards when they reach perfect ripeness. In the cellar, processing is traditional. Alcoholic fermentation, in particular, takes place in steel tanks and lasts for about 3 weeks. Then, in the post-maceration phase, the wine remains in contact with the skins for a further 4 weeks before being racked off. Malolactic fermentation and ageing in oak barrels follow. Ruby red colour, with slight garnet hues. The nose is rich, powerful and concentrated, with distinct hints of ripe fruit. In the mouth it is fresh and full-bodied, with hints of red and black fruit, such as blueberry and blackberry. The tannin is ripe, soft, silky and well integrated. There is a particular almond note on the finish. A balanced and refined red, on the table it does not struggle to find its rightful place. Excellent with traditional hors d’oeuvres and meat dishes. Excellent with medium-aged cheeses and mushroom dishes.
