£50.00

Château Bellefont-Belcier Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé 2019 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Château Bellefont-Belcier The Saint-Émilion hill in the Bordeaux region is renowned for the production of high-quality red wines. In particular from Merlot grapes, which, on the area’s clay and limestone soils, do particularly well and succeed in producing perfect ripening of the grapes. In this case, Chteau Bellefont-Belcier combines 70% Merlot, approximately 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Harvesting in this case starts between the end of September and the first half of October. The grapes, carefully selected on the vine, are vinified in French oak barriques and concrete tanks. Then, after malolactic fermentation, the wine is placed entirely in barriques, which are divided as follows: 40% new, 30% single wine and 30% blended wine. The result is a wine characterised by a beautiful, dense garnet red colour. On the nose, it is surprising for the freshness and complexity of its bouquet, with notes of black berries mingling with those of liquorice. In the mouth, on the other hand, the Bellefont-Belcier proves to be a lively and full-bodied wine, with compact and powerful tannins. The finish is fruity and distinguished by its persistence. Excellent with savoury meat dishes.
