Ceretto “Bernardina” Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC 2022 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Ceretto Nebbiolo, an indigenous grape of Piedmont, gives life to wines of beautiful structure, complexity and ageing capacity. Bernardina, Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC is a fine example of this, the child of an excellent terroir such as that of the Langhe. A Nebbiolo with great personality, Bernardina is produced with pure Nebbiolo grapes from the Monsordo Bernardina Estate in the heart of the Langhe. Vineyards located at 300 metres above sea level, characterised by a typical marly soil that gives the wine structure and complexity. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled steel vats and then matures for 14 months in barriques, 20% new and the rest already used. Maturation then ends with 3 months in the bottle. Elegant and complex, Bernardina has an elegant ruby red colour. The nose has enveloping aromas of roses, berries and spices. The palate is elegant and pleasantly tannic, with nuances of tobacco and a lingering finish. Perfect with first courses with meat sauces, red meats and mature cheeses.
