Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr Riesling Vin d’Alsace 2022 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr Cave Vinicole de Hunawihr presents this very interesting Riesling. This grape variety is, as is well known, an absolute protagonist of viticulture in central Europe and particularly in the Rhine Valley, where it apparently originated. Present as early as the 9th century in the vineyards of Rheinghau, Alsace, its second home, it has slightly different characteristics. Present in this region as early as the 15th century, it became quite common only in the second half of the 19th century, becoming a true symbol of Alsatian enology only in the late 1960s. In the glass, it is a beautiful pale yellow color with refined silver reflections. The nose is complex and fresh, with notes of lime, pear and grapefruit. In the mouth, however, it is initially broad and silky, with a freshness, well present, but very nice. A pleasantly dry wine with completely negligible residual sugar, it is a fantastic wine for the whole meal. Excellent with seafood and fish in general, it also does not struggle to accompany white meat dishes: rabbit, turkey or chicken.
