In this case Castello di Neive offers a Barbaresco DOCG, the result of a reasoned blend of grapes from different vineyards that complement each other and achieve great harmony and pleasantness. A wine that is strongly representative of the entire Barbaresco area, in particular the commune of Neive. A rather limited production, also due to the low yield of the vines, which produce about 80 quintals of grapes per hectare. A total of 50 thousand bottles, for a wine that will undoubtedly give great satisfaction. In the glass it has a beautiful bright garnet red colour. The nose gives great satisfaction, thanks to a particularly fine and varied bouquet. In particular, notes of well-ripened small fruits, withered flowers, wood and spices. In the mouth, however, it is intense and elegant with a fine tannic texture. This is the wine to uncork at a nice dinner with friends. It is the important bottle to accompany main courses of meat and medium-aged cheeses. Good today, it will keep quietly for a few years in the cellar. But it is a shame to wait… Better to find a good opportunity to uncork it now!
