A sumptuous white, to say the least. One of Italy’s historic varietals for white wine making, Crisio is the result of careful selection of grapes from only 3 different vineyards. A lovely straw yellow colour with greenish veins, Verdicchio Riserva Crisio di Casalfarneto offers an articulate and evocative bouquet, with clear hints of white flowers, aromatic herbs, white-fleshed fruit and echoes of citrus. On the palate it is mineral, sapid, with light notes of tertiary scents. The harvest, carried out at three different times, has a significant impact on the aromatic profile of Casalfarneto’s Verdicchio Riserva Crisio, as do the months of rest in barriques for part of the grapes.
