Cantina Bolzano “Vinalia” Moscato Giallo Alto Adige DOC 2019 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.38 Cantina Bolzano Vinalia is a raisin wine for meditation. Defined by the producer as “an amber nectar, with notes of candied fruit and honey”. It comes from a careful processing of Moscato Giallo grapes from particularly suitable plots, chosen for their favourable exposure, between 300 and 400 metres above sea level. The grapes are harvested when the sun has brought them to perfect ripeness, between the end of September and the first half of October. The selected grapes are dried in the air for about 6 months and only then are they pressed. The must, super concentrated and rich in sugar and aromas, ferments slowly in French barriques until it reaches the perfect balance between residual sugar, acidity and alcohol content. Golden yellow with amber highlights, the nose is astonished by the richness of its bouquet, which ranges from fruity notes of ripe apricot, pineapple, melon and peach to hints of exotic candied fruit. Soft and full-bodied, it is a wine that guarantees almost unlimited persistence. A perfect wine for long evenings spent chatting with friends (in front of the fireplace, if the season permits), it is also perfect with fruit desserts. Excellent with a simple tart, apple pie or, of course, the delicious strudel of the regional tradition.
