Cantina Bolzano Chardonnay Alto Adige DOC 2023 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Cantina Bolzano The Alto Adige DOC Chardonnay from Cantina Bolzano is elegance and freshness. A beautiful mountain wine, made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes cultivated between 350 and 500 metres above sea level. We are located in the heart of South Tyrol, amidst breathtaking landscapes and steep slopes. Here the climatic conditions are ideal for viticulture, thanks to cool Alpine currents and good sunshine. The soils are warm, dry and rich in minerals, guaranteeing the vines a balanced growth, enhancing the aromatic characteristics of the grapes. Cantina Bolzano’s vineyards are managed using sustainable and environmentally friendly methods. This starts with manual selection of the grapes, which are harvested at the right stage of ripeness to ensure a perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. In the cellar, the grapes undergo soft pressing to extract only the free-run juice, which undergoes temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. Subsequently, the wine matures in stainless steel, preserving the varietal characteristics of the Chardonnay and maintaining a lively acidity. In the glass, this Chardonnay has a light straw yellow colour, enriched with golden reflections. The nose is complex and inviting, with exotic notes of pineapple, mango and melon, plus a touch of citrus that adds freshness. In the mouth it is elegant and enveloping, characterised by a pleasant acidity well balanced by natural softness. The finish is fresh and persistent. Thanks to its versatility and freshness, this Chardonnay is ideal as an aperitif, but goes well with a fish menu or with sushi and sashimi.
