Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Extra Brut “Cuvée Prestige Edizione 47” Magnum – Country: Italy – Capacity: 1.50 Ca’ del Bosco

£74.00

Ca’ del Bosco Franciacorta Extra Brut “Cuvée Prestige Edizione 47” Magnum – Country: Italy – Capacity: 1.50 Ca’ del Bosco If Ca’ del Bosco can be considered the very symbol of Franciacorta, much of the credit must go to its best-known label, the legendary Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut. With its transparent bottle and sinuously shaped label, this bubbly represents a true benchmark for the type. Appreciated across the board by aficionados and professionals alike, this Franciacorta DOCG comes from a careful selection in the countryside of the best Chardonnay grapes, in clear predominance, with an addition of Pinot Noir and just a hint of Pinot Blanc. The grapes are vinified separately and alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled steel tanks, where the wines remain until the following March. Then the vintage wines are blended with the reserve wines preserved from the best vintages, and the bottling and delicate mousse-taking take place. Maturation lasts for around 25 months, after which disgorging takes place, which in this case takes place in the absence of oxygen, thanks to a unique system invented and patented by Ca’ del Bosco itself. At that point each bottle is uniquely marked to ensure complete traceability. To the eye, this Franciacorta is a prestigious, luminous straw yellow, furrowed by fine, persistent bubbles. The nose delicately and progressively releases shy, fragrant hints of citrus, apple, white peach and exotic fruit. All enhanced by memories of pastries and dried fruit. The taste, lively and darting, invites drinking by virtue of its irresistible freshness, vibrant and well dosed. The finish is pleasant and fruity.
