This is Luna d’Agosto by Ca’ del Baio, Langhe DOC, fresh and lively. Its secret ‘ The grapes, harvested early in the first weeks of September, give this Piedmontese white a unique aromatic profile, characterised by fruity and floral notes that evoke warm summer days. The estate’s vineyards from which the grapes come are rooted in soils composed of grey limestone-sandy marl, rich in minerals that give the wine a distinct flavour and long persistence. The grapes, carefully selected in the countryside, undergo soft pressing to best preserve their integrity and aromatic freshness. Vinification then takes place entirely in steel at a controlled temperature. Brilliant straw yellow with slight greenish reflections, the nose has intense floral aromas of broom and acacia, combined with fruity notes of citrus, green apple and white peach. On the palate, it is dry, fresh and mineral, with a lively and persistent sip that provides a truly pleasant sensory experience. Luna d’Agosto is a versatile wine. It goes well with starters, white meats and vegetables. But also grilled and baked fish and fresh cheeses. Its freshness, however, also makes it ideal as an aperitif with friends. Served chilled, it always gives a moment of pure pleasure.
