£12.60

Bersano “4 Sorelle” Piemonte DOC Sauvignon 2024 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Bersano Among the hills of Monferrato, where the vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see, the Piedmont DOC Sauvignon 4 Sorelle di Bersano is born. Here the freshness and liveliness of Sauvignon Blanc is skilfully interpreted by Bersano, which has been dedicated to the production of high-quality wines for generations. This grape variety, originally from France, is known for its intense aromatic profile and great freshness. The vineyards, located at about 350 metres above sea level, enjoy optimal exposure to the sun, which favours the complete ripening of the grapes. Harvesting, which is manual and selective, takes place between the second and third decade of September. In the cellar, the grapes undergo a soft pressing that allows the extraction of only the flower must. Alcoholic fermentation then takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks that allow the best possible preservation of the wine’s freshness and vivacity. At the end of the transformation, the wine matures in steel for a variable period, depending on the characteristics of the vintage. This allows the aromatic fragrance of Sauvignon Blanc to be enhanced, without covering its fruity and floral notes. In the glass, it has a beautiful straw yellow colour, with greenish reflections heralding a wine of great freshness. On the nose, the bouquet is intense and pleasant and opens with fruity notes of peach, pineapple and lychee, enriched by hints of white flowers and the characteristic aromatic fragrance of grapes. In the mouth, however, it conquers with its freshness, savouriness and pleasant acidity. The finish is persistent and satisfying. On the table it goes well with fish dishes, shellfish, fresh and medium-aged cheeses. Its freshness and liveliness, however, also make it ideal as an aperitif.
