Allegrini “Palazzo Della Torre” Veronese IGT 2021 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Allegrini

£19.90

Allegrini “Palazzo Della Torre” Veronese IGT 2021 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Allegrini Villa dell’ Torre, a splendid Renaissance palace that has become the symbol of Amarone, is the estate owned by the Allegrini family from which this intriguing Veronese red wine, Palazzo dell’ Torre, originates. A symbolic wine of the company that has made the Allegrini brend famous worldwide. It is made from Corvina and Rondinella grapes, to which a small percentage of Sangiovese is added. After the harvest, only a part of the grapes is left to dry, while the rest is immediately taken to the cellar to be vinified. In the month of December, then, the dried grapes, softly crushed and carefully destemmed, are added to the steel tanks where the wine produced from fresh grapes rests, causing a new very slow fermentation. Later, the resulting wine matures in second-hand French oak barriques for a period of at least 15 months and in the bottle for another 7. Dark ruby red in colour, it has a rich and particularly ample bouquet. The mouthfeel is structured and smooth. Decidedly elegant and definitely persistent.
