Alain Mercier Champagne Cuvée “Blck” Blanc de Noirs Brut – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Alain Mercier It is called Cuvée Blck Brut, Blanc de Noirs from the house of Alain Mercier. Its bottle, with its modern, black label, certainly does not go unnoticed. It is an elegant champagne made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from the highest hills of Passy sur Marne. An enigmatic and profound expression of Pinot Noir, this Blanc de Noirs offers a fresh and fascinating interpretation of this precious grape. Champagne SA, i.e. without vintage, the nose presents a powerful and ripe profile, with notes of quince, mirabelle plum and apricot. As it opens, then, aromas of liquorice, toast and candied fruit emerge. On the palate, however, it is frank and pleasant, with clear hints of yellow fruit. Its structure is balanced and the finish is long and generous. The Blck lends itself well to various pairings. A wine suitable for the whole meal, it accompanies fish and shellfish dishes as well as white meats.
